Mysuru: The bride and the groom are at the center of attraction at any wedding. However, all eyes were on someone else at a wedding being held here.
The wedding of Dr. Yatheesh and Dr. Apoorva is being held on Saturday and Sunday. But the invited guests were pleasantly surprised to find the deceased father of the groom sitting next to the altar, witnessing rituals.
Dr. Yatheesh, who is pursuing his MD Ayurveda studies, lost his father Ramesh to the deadly COVID-19 infection a year ago. To honor his memory and as a tribute, Dr. Yatheesh got made a life-like wax statue of his deceased father.
It feels as if Ramesh is actually at the ceremony, witnessing his son’s wedding.
The life-like statue to immortalize the groom’s departed father has attracted the attention of media and guests alike.
