Mangaluru: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided to fund the complete drainage scheme at Malavoor village near  Mangaluru International Airport (MIA).

The project, estimated to cost Rs 6.75 crore has been undertaken in the interest of public welfare and aims to protect the life, properties of residents of the village from any future flood-type situation in the absence of the stormwater drainage system.
