Abducted minor girl traced to Bagalkot; accused arrested

Mangaluru: Nearly a week after a 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from Kunjathbail here, Kavoor police on Saturday, February 22 arrested the accused from Bagalkote and brought the girl back.
Parashurama (26), a resident of Badami is the arrested person. He was produced before court and remanded to judicial custody.
On February 14 evening, locals had seen Parashurama escorting the girl. Her parents began to look out for her as she did not return for a long time and finally lodged a missing complaint at Kavoor police station on February 16.
As per police, the accused and the girls’ families hail from Uttara Karnataka and had migrated to the city for employment.
