Abducted woman and child traced in Kozhikode

Kasaragod: The woman who went missing along with her child from Chittarikkal Velladka has been taken into custody by the police along with her paramour at Kozhikode railway station on Friday, August 31st. Earlier in the day, it was reported that she had been kidnapped in broad daylight, which shocked the public as well as the police.
Incident synopsis
As per reports, Minu (23) wife of Manoj a mechanic by profession from Chittarikkal Velladka and her child Sai Krishna(3) were missing since Friday morning. Minu had made a mobile call to her husband Manoj that she was being kidnapped. She had disconnected the call when the conversation was in progress. It is said the kidnappers had escaped by the time locals rushed to the spot on hearing the cries of Minu.
Based on the complaint registered by Manoj at Chittarikkal police station, the district SP Dr A Srinivas, Kanhangad DySP P K Sudhakaran, Chittarikkal station sub inspector Ranjith Ravindran and other police officials rushed to the spot and conducted investigations.
The police carried intense investigation in and around the district and eventually Minu was spotted in the vicinity of Kozhikode railway station with her paramour. From the police investigation it is understood that Minu had a lover. Kottayam resident Minu and Manoj had got married after being in love.
“Minu started working in a shopping complex at Chiruppaya after her marriage. As Minu developed friendship with a man named Binu there, her husband Manoj had prevented her from going to work. Thereafter, they enacted the drama of kidnap,” said the police.
The car used in the offense has been seized from near Payyanur railway station and Kozhikode police are collecting further details.
