Aboobacker Siddique murder case: Main accused arrested

Kasargod: The police arrested the main accused in the murder case of Aboobacker Siddique, a resident of Puttige Mugu, who was employed in the gulf.
The arrested is Asfan (26), a resident of Paivalike Bayar. He had absconded overseas after the murder.
He was arrested at Kozhikode airport by the police team led by DySP Sunil Kumar as soon as he returned to India.
A 32-year-old Gulf returnee Aboobacker was abducted and then murdered by a gang of youths on Sunday, June 26 at Bandyod.
Aboobacker who had returned on June 25 was abducted and killed over some financial dispute. The gang after murdering the youth sent his body to a hospital in an ambulance. However, the doctors confirmed that Aboobacker was dead on arrival.
More than 15 people are involved in the murder case. The investigating team has taken steps to arrest others who have escaped to overseas countries.
