Mangaluru: “The abrogation of article 370 has helped SC/ST and OBC community for the purpose of reservation,” claimed BJP national general secretary and in charge of Karnataka P Murlidhar Rao addressing the media here on Sunday, September 29.
“Congress is against SC/ST and OBC community. So they oppose the abrogation of article 370. Even the people of Jammu and Kashmir believe that the violence in the state has come down after the scrapping of the article 370 and 35A,” he further claimed.
“We should stop opting for dynastic administration as we are a democratic country. Dynasty and democracy do not go together. The abrogation of article 370 has helped the SC/ST and OBC community to enjoy the facility of reservation. Congress is opposed the move to scrap the article 370, which indicates that they support separatists. Congress needs to admit that it also supports Pakistan,” he claimed.
Responding to a query about providing party tickets for disqualified MLAs in the coming assembly elections, Rao said, “So far the disqualified MLAs have not applied for any membership. As of now there is no question of providing ticket to anyone as there is a lot of procedure that needs to be followed. We are confident that BJP will win in all the 15 constituencies of by elections,”
Replying to a query on delay in announcing compensation from the centre for flood victims, Muralidhar Rao said, “Chief minister B S Yediyurappa is in constant touch with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will release funds soon,” he claimed.
