Absence of road, family carries 70-yo patient on makeshift stretcher in Chikkamagaluru

Chikkamagaluru: A 70-year-old woman had to be carried in a makeshift stretcher for over 1 kilometer due to lack of proper road in Kalkodu village of Kalasa taluk.

The elderly woman , Seshamma was carried by her family members in a stretcher made out of blankets for getting her admitted to a hospital.

The village. located around 3-4km from Kalasa has 10 houses and roughly 40 residents but lacks proper roads.

Locals have brought the matter to the attention of the authorities and petitioned for construction of road. They however expressed outrage over the lack of response from the officials to their plight.
