Bengaluru: The Department of Public Instruction has announced the commencement of the 2021-22 academic year in the State from July 15.
Usually, the academic year starts from June 1 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire calendar had to be reset.
The department made the decision considering that class 10 and 12 examinations will be over at the beginning of June and the results will be declared by the end of the same month.
Hence, classes can be started only in July after a short vacation for the students and teachers.
