ACB police nab two for accepting bribe

Belthangady: Anti-Corruption Bureau caught Kokkada Gram Panchayat (GP) president and panchayat development officer (PDO) for accepting bribes.

GP President Sebastian and PDO Puroshotham were caught red-handed for accepting bribes.

It has been reported that, Ummer a road contractor had submitted bills of his completed work in Kokkada Grama Panchayat area.

Sebastian and Puroshotham allegedly demanded rs.35,000 to clear his dues from the Government.

Ummer later contacted ACB’s help and the duo were trapped by ACB red handed while accepting bribe from him.

DySP Sudhir M Hegde, Inspector Yogesh Kumar Naik and staff took part in the operation monitored by ACB Western Range Superintendent of Police N S Shruti.
