ACB raids at various location across Karnataka

Bengaluru: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) carried out raids at six different locations across the state today.
Raids were held at six government officers’ homes and offices across Karnataka on Wednesday.
Kalburgi
ACB sleuths raided the house of Minor Irrigation Department Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) H B Malappa. He was earlier posted at Shivamogga and later transferred to Kalburgi few months ago.
Bantwal
ACB police raided the office and houses belonging to agriculture department Assistant Director P F Miranda.
Chikkaballapur
Minor Irrigation Department Assistant Executive Engineer Hemanth’s office in Chikkaballapur, farm house and his Bengaluru house were raided this morning.
Tumakuru
PWD Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Jagadish’s house was raided by ACB.
The Lokayukta police had gathered information against the AEE two years ago and the ACB has raided his house now.
Dharwad
ACB sleuths raided the house of Ankola Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Panduranga Pai and searched his Hubbali, Dharwad and Ankola houses.
Belagavi
PWD AEE Suresh Bhimanayaka’s house was raided and documents were inspected.
“The searches were conducted on credible information that the accused officials were having assets disproportionate to their legal income,” said the Bureau. The officials were found to possess huge properties, including farmlands, residential and commercial sites, buildings, gold jewellery and silver ornaments, unaccounted cash, cars, bank deposits, lockers and foreign currency, besides incriminating documents in support of the graft charges.
