Accident at Jeppinamogaru: Scooter rider killed

Mangaluru: Yekkur Fisheries College staff, Krishna (57) died after meeting with an accident near Jeppinamogaru along NH 66 on Sunday, July 22nd.
The victim was riding his scooter from Thokkottu towards Yekkur when a car hit his scooter from the rear near Muger after crossing the Nethravathi Bridge. The collision threw the rider along with his scooter on to the road.
Within moments, an over speeding bullet tanker behind the car drove over the fallen victim. The public rushed in attempted to shift the grievously injured Krishna to the hospital, but to no avail.
The victim Krishna was originally from Sullia and currently a resident at Derebail Konchady in the city. He is survived by his wife who is a teacher and two daughters.
Krishna was the senior lab assistant at the Fisheries College and on Sunday, he met with the accident while coming back from Thokkottu. A case has been registered at South traffic police station.
