Bantwal: Following the alleged circulation of a derogatory video of former minister B Ramanath Rai on social media by miscreants, the Congress committee here has filed complaint in the rural police station.

In the complaint, the Congress unit states that some miscreants had morphed the video of Rai’s visit to flood affected areas to infuse confidence among the people recently and spread the same through social websites with content that contains derogatory remarks about the former minister.

According to the party, the video of Ramanath Rai travelling by boat was captured by the concerned, doctored and made to look like immersion ceremony of Lord Ganesha in a derogatory manner.
