Mysuru: Recently, actor Darshan Thoogudeepa had made an appeal on behalf of the Zoo Authority of Karnataka (ZAK) to donate and adopt animals of the Zoo.
Now, the funds raised through donations and the adoption of animals in the past week alone have surpassed Rs 1 crore. ZAK has managed to raise a whopping Rs 1,00,47,900 from June 5 to 1o.
Darshan visited Mysuru Zoo on June 5 to shoot a video requesting people to show their love and affection towards the birds and animals by adopting them.
ZAK Chairman L.R. Mahadevaswamy has thanked Darshan for his support at a time when the Zoos were hit by a financial crunch due to the ongoing Covid crisis.
