Actor Darshan’s viral jail photos : FIR registered

Photos and videos of actor Darshan, accused in a murder case, relaxing in Parappana Agrahara Prison have gone viral, raising serious questions about the prison’s management and security.

In the images, Darshan is seen sitting comfortably in the prison courtyard with other inmates, holding a cigarette in one hand and a coffee cup in the other. The viral spread of these photos on social media has led to widespread criticism, prompting the government to take strict action. In response, seven jail officials have been suspended for their lapses.

Three separate FIRs have been registered at the Parappana Agrahara Police Station in connection with the incident. These FIRs were filed based on complaints by the prison superintendent.

The first FIR pertains to the cigarette provided to Darshan, the second concerns the filming and circulation of the video, and the third relates to an incident occurred during a CCB raid. Actor Darshan, along with Wilson Garden Naga, Kulla Seena, and Nagaraj, has been named as an accused in all three cases.
