Actress Ramya approaches police for action against online troll for lewd message

Bengaluru: Kannada actress and politician Ramya has decided to act tough on social media trolls and registered a complaint against about a lewd message received online.

Ramya personally visited the CEN police Central division on Thursday and registered a complaint about a person who wrote an obscene message on Instagram and tagged her.

In her complaint, Rmaya said that she received a lewd message tagged her account Divya Spandana (@divyaspandana) on Instagram. The message was received on June 8 in reply to her post on June 6 lauding the recently released Kannada movie ‘Charlie 777.’

The message was received from an Instagram account by Preetham.Prince.K, she said in her complaint police sources said and added that Ramya has requested strict action against the culprit who “disgraced her character online.”

Meanwhile, CEN police have registered a case and are on the hunt for the culprit.

According to sources, prior to registering the complaint, Ramya visited the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Pratap Reddy at his office and discussed the matter. She has submitted the petition to the City Police Commissioner also, sources said.
