Mangaluru: The management of Mangaluru International Airport will be completely handed over to Adani Group from October 31.
The Adani Group had won the bid to operate, manage, and develop 6 airports in India including Mangaluru International Airport. It took over the responsibility on October 30, 2020. As per the agreement, for three years Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Adani Group jointly managed the airport, with each appointing half of the airport staff.
As this stipulation ends on October 30, the airport management will be fully taken over by Adani Group.
From October 31, the finance, HR, administration, commercial, fire fighting, and terminal departments of the airport will be managed by Adani Group. AAI will handle only the Air Traffic Control (ATC), Cargo, and CNS (Communication Navigation and Surveillance) sections.
