Aditya Rao remanded to 10-day police custody

Mangaluru: The sixth JMFC court here remanded Aditya Rao, accused of planting live explosives at Mangaluru airport to 10-day police custody.

JMFC court judge Justice Kishore Kumar inquired with Aditya if he was subjected to police torture and if he had any lawyer to represent him in the case. Aditya is said to have replied in the negative for these questions, it is gathered.

The police had sought for 15-day custody for interrogating him it is learnt.

Rao, who surrendered before Bengaluru police on Wednesday morning was brought to Mangaluru the same day night. He was produced before the magistrate court today.
