Mangaluru: In a cause of concern for the public, cracks have appeared on the road near Maravoor bridge in Bajpe here as a result of the heavy rains that has been lashing the district for the last few days.

The cracks are visible on the right corner, at the adjoining point of the road and bridge connecting Mangalore International Airport. Notably last year too the bridge had developed cracks, following which it was closed for vehicular traffic.

Meanwhile, a landslide has been reported near Sri Devi College, Kenjar.

Currently, only one-way traffic has been facilitated on the bridge, and repair works is on.
