Mangalore: In its quest to find forever homes to rescue desi puppies and kittens, Animal Care Trust, Shakthinagar has been organising adoption camp regularly in various parts of the city and outskirts too. Ever since its inception in the year 2,000 the Trust has been treating sick, injured animals and reaching out to abandoned animals. Over the past few years, the Trust has been successful in finding forever homes to the abandoned animals and kittens.

One such adoption camp of desi puppies and kittens will be organised on Sunday, August 25 at School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Jeppu, Mangalore. Over 25 puppies and 10 kittens will be put up for adoption in this camp which will be held from 10.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m.

While no adoption fee is charged, ACT collects a nominal charge of INR 200 as registration fee to help cover the basic medical expenses incurred. Those who wish to adopt are required to get their valid photo ID proof for registration. Adopting families will also have free consultation about pet care at home.
