After 103 test positive for Covid-19 in an apartment, BBMP holds meeting with RWAs

Bengaluru: After 103 people tested positive for COVID -19 in an apartment complex in Bommanahalli, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) commissioner held a virtual meeting with all Residential Welfare Association’s (RWA).

The BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad said, “The BBMP had put in place various measures, including isolating and quarantining those who had tested positive and intensifying contact tracing. Samples have been collected and sent for genome sequencing to the NIMHANS laboratory to ascertain the virus variant.”

On Tuesday, 103 people from the SNN lake view apartment complex in Bommanahalli in Bengaluru tested positive for Covid-19 after a party in the complex.

Recently, 40 students of a nursing college in Kaval Byrasandra tested positive for the virus. “The nursing college students have contracted the virus while visiting their hometowns in Kerala, the residents of the apartment may have contracted it at a social gathering where protocols had not been followed, he added.
