After Hathras, another woman gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh’s Balrampur; two arrested

Lucknow: A 22-yr-old Dalit woman died after she had allegedly been gang-raped by two youths in a Balrampur village in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, Sep 30. It is said that the woman was cremated on Wednesday night after post mortem.

The police have said that two accused in the case have been arrested. Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 376-D for gang rape and 302 for murder have been slapped against the two accused

It is said that she was abducted in the morning while on way to secure a college admission. When she failed to return in time, the family launched a search for the woman.

Although, the family claims that the girl’s hands and legs were fractured, police claimed that the post-mortem has not revealed injuries to the woman.
