After Kanakapura, RSS leader to lead massive route march in JDS bastion

Ramanagara: Nearly a month after Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat staged a massive rally in Kanakapura, constituency represented by Congress MLA D K Shivakumar, the senior RSS leader will be seen leading a massive route march in Chennapattana Taluk of Ramanagara district today (February 9).
Notably, Ramanagara Assembly constituency is a bastion of the JD(S) and ever since party President HD Kumaraswamy contested polls in 2004 from this area, the seat has never been lost to another party. Presently, the constituency is represented by Anitha Kumaraswamy.
With the intent of spreading its footprint in Old Mysuru, the RSS, in cooperation with Hindu Jagarana Vedike will take out a route march here at 2 pm. Over 5000 party workers, dressed in the RSS uniform will participate in today’s route march. Former minister CP Yogeshwar, who recently posted a photo of himself and his two teenaged sons dressed in Ganvesh will also participate in the route march.
The route march will pass through Balageri, town police station, Kempegowda circle, Aijoor circle, Bandimahakalamma temple road, Kamagagudi circle and conclude at district stadium where the RSS ideologue will address the Sanghis.
The RSS which has firmly rooted itself in coastal Karnataka region hopes to expand its presence in old Mysuru region and is planning on more such events in Mandya, Mysuru Rural, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Tumakuru, Chamarajanagara and Hassan.
Meanwhile, the police security has been increased in the area to maintain law and order situation.
