After PMs push, several states opt for Ayush remedies in Covid-19 care: Here are the guidelines issued by Ayush Ministry

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s has recommended everybody to follow AYUSH ministry guidelines, which suggest a range of home remedies to boost immunity. Now, many states are also administering the recommended concoctions and medicines to patients in government quarantine facilities with mild symptoms.
Ministry of AYUSH recommends some self-care guidelines for preventive health measures and boosting immunity with special reference to respiratory health.
General measures
1.Drinking of warm water throughout the day.
2.Daily practice of Yogasana, Pranayama and meditation for at least 30 minutes.
3.Use of Turmeric, Cumin, Coriander and Garlic while cooking.
Immunity promoting measures
1.Consuming one teaspoon Chyavanprash in the morning. Diabetics should take sugar free Chyavanprash.
2.Drinking herbal made from Tulsi, Cinnamon, Black pepper,Dry Ginger and Raisin, once or twice a day. Also, add jaggery or fresh lemon juice to your taste, if needed.
3.Consumption of Golden Milk, Half tea spoon turmeric powder in 150 ml hot milk, once or twice a day.
Simple Ayurvedic procedures
1.Nasal application, Applying sesame oil / coconut oil or Ghee in both the nostrils in morning and evening.
2.Oil pulling therapy,Take 1 table spoon sesame or coconut oil in mouth. Do not drink, Swish in the mouth for 2 to 3 minutes and spit it off followed by warm water rinse. This can be done once or twice a day.
Treatment of dry cough/ sore throat
1.Inhalation of steam with fresh Mint leaves or Ajwain or Caraway seeds can be practiced once in a day.
2.Clove powder mixed with jaggery / honey can be taken 2-3 times a day in case of cough or throat irritation.
Ayush also advises that it is best to consult doctors if these symptoms persist because these measures generally treat normal dry cough and sore throat.
