Age is just a number: At 72, retired teacher appears for Tulu script exam

Bantwal: A living example of the saying that age is just a number, 72-year-old Laxmi has inspired many youths in the city by appearing for Tulu script examination at Bhandaribettu gymnasium in the taluk on Sunday, March 14.
NB Laxmi, who happens to be a retired teacher took the Tulu exam organized by the joint aegis of Karnataka State Tulu Sahitya Academy, Jai Tulu organization, and Yuvajana Vyayama Shale Bhandaribettu, Tulu examination for Tulu script was being held and
The trio organizations had earlier held Tulu script training workshop titled ‘Bale Tulu Kalpuga’ free of cost and after concluding the classes the examination was held on Sunday.
Laxmi teacher had got training in this subject through online classes and came to the examination centre to appear for the examination.
