Panambur: As Mangaluru gears up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on September 2, the beautification of roads through which PM Modi is expected to travel is taking place in full swing.
On NH 66 of Kulur, Panambur and Baikampady limits, grass, and creepers grown on dividers and on either side of the road are getting cleaned. Mud and stones on the highway are being lifted with the help of JCBs. Roads connecting to the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) are in repair mode, as the PM will be visiting the site to lay the foundation stone for projects under Sagarmala Scheme.
Due to heavy rains on Wednesday, August 24, the work was delayed.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, August 25, the process of cleaning dividers, roads, and installing streetlamps continued.
