Puducherry: AIADMK supporters protested near Windflower resort at Puducherry where 18 dissident MLAs supporting TTV Dinakaran are staying.
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam members supporting CM Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy CM Panneerselvam (OPS) staged a protest outside the resort.
MLAs supporting Dhinakaran checked into a seaside Windflower resort in Puducherry on Tuesday evening, after demanding a removal of Palaniswami as their Chief Minister.
AIADMK cadres burned the effigy of Dhinakaran for opposing the merger.
On Tuesday, TTV Dinakaran met Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, and demanded a change of Chief Minister.
They submitted a letter to Governor saying that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has lost their confidence by inducting OPS as deputy CM without consulting them.
The MLAs also gave a separate letter to Governor withdrawing support to Chief Minister K Palaniswami government.
