Air India Express to increase daily flights from Mangaluru to Abu Dhabi

Mangaluru: Air India Express (IX) will enhance its service from Mangaluru International Airport to Abu Dhabi by offering daily flights starting July 22, 2024. Currently, IX operates this route four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
This new schedule will also boost the number of daily flights to Bengaluru, increasing them to eight.
Presently, five daily flights are operated by IndiGo (4) and IX (1) on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru route. Starting July 8, IX will reintroduce its second daily flight, raising the total to six. From July 22, the number will increase to seven on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and to eight on these days starting August 1, with IX adding a third flight.
IndiGo will maintain its five daily flights on this route, using Airbus series aircraft, while IX will utilize Boeing-737 Max aircraft.
On the Mumbai-Mangaluru sector, IX will take over the afternoon flight from Air India starting July 16, while Air India continues to operate the morning flight. Mangaluru International Airport currently supports five daily flights to both Mumbai and Bengaluru, two daily flights to Chennai and Hyderabad, one daily flight to Delhi, three weekly flights to Pune, and one weekly flight to Tiruchirappalli.
Internationally, IX operates two daily flights to Dubai, four weekly to Dammam, three weekly to Muscat, two weekly to Doha and Bahrain, and one weekly each to Kuwait and Jeddah. Additionally, IndiGo offers four weekly flights to Dubai.
