Ajekar: Man, his 8-year-old niece seriously injured in car-bike collision

Ajekar: A bike rider and a child were seriously injured when a car collided head-on with a bike near Mangilaru cross in Hirgana village of Karkala taluk on December 30.
Nityananda Kulal (32), a resident of Kondalke in Andaru village, and his 8-year-old niece Rishika were injured in the road mishap.
Rishika, a class 3 student of an English medium school in Shankarapura, had come to her maternal grandparents’ residence on vacation. Her uncle Nityananda was taking her to Andaru from Karkala when an oncoming Baleno car rammed into them.
They both were seriously injured in the accident and have been rushed to a hospital in Manipal. The bike was completely wrecked in the accident.
A case has been registered at the Karkala City police station in this regard.
