Ajekaru, Hebri: Rain, winds cause enormous losses

Ajekaru, Hebri: Heavy rain and winds on the night of April 26 and on April 27 have caused extensive damages to areas in and around Ajekaru and Hebri.
Many electric poles were toppled and areca plantations near Ajekaru suffered huge losses.
In Kerwashe village, many large trees were uprooted and fell on the road causing problems to traffic movement in and out of the village.
A similar incident occurred at Padigar near Hebri where a treefall caused traffic congestion for about 1 hour. Motorists were travelling to Hebri via Santhekatte. Later, the tree was cleared with the help of the locals.
A tree fell over a car at the residence of Shyam Prabhu in Hebri.
