Chitradurga: State health and family welfare minister, B Sriramulu, has informed that COVID-19 testing will now be conducted on all secondary contacts in the state.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with officials here, he stated that this decision was taken at the State’s COVID-19 task force meeting.

Until recently, all testings in the state were of primary contacts.

He also stated that the Prime Minister’s ‘Saptha Sutra’ to contain the spread of the virus includes taking extra care of the elderly.

Adding that the government will ensure that nobody starves during these difficult times, thus, everyone, with or without a BPL ration card, will receive rations.
