All India Oriental Conference: 3-Day festival of knowledge in Udupi from Oct 24

The All India Oriental Conference will take place on October 24, 25, and 26 at the Rajanganam of Sri Krishna Math in Udupi, under the auspices of Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha, with the blessings of 1008 Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru. This prestigious event is organised in collaboration with the Bharatiya Vidwat Parishad, Bangalore, Paryaya Sri Puttige Matha, and Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi. After several decades, this conference is once again being held in South India, with Karnataka as the chosen venue.
The conference will feature a series of high-level sessions, including plenary meetings, youth poets’ gatherings, lectures by emerging scholars, and scholarly debates (Shastrartha Sabhas) by renowned senior academics. Cultural performances, along with specialized seminars on 23 topics covering fields such as education, children’s literature, Kannada, Sanskrit, Pali, Urdu, Yoga, and Ayurveda, will be held throughout the three days. Eighteen vice-chancellors from leading universities, including Central Sanskrit University and Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, will be in attendance, ensuring a rich exchange of knowledge.
A book exhibition and sale by prominent Indian publishers will take place, with 25 new titles set to be launched. Additionally, daily yoga and meditation sessions, led by Baba Ramdev Ji and Acharya Balakrishna Ji of Patanjali, will be conducted from 6 am to 7 am.
His Holiness 1008 Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru with Grace of 1008 Sri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Sripadaru, 1008 Sri Vidyesha Tirtha Sripadaru, 1008 Sri Susrindra Tirtha Sripadaru, Sri Sri Vidyaprasanna Tirtha Sripadrua will bless us in the occasion.
The event will be inaugurated by Shri Yogiraja Baba Ramdev, with Acharya Balakrishna Ji delivering the Saraswat lecture. The conference will also feature special addresses by Padma Shri Chamu Krishnashastri and Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi, Vice Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University. The President of the AIOC, Prof. Saroja Bhate, will deliver a keynote speech, and Prof. Kavita Holey, AIOC Secretary, will present the vote of thanks. Prof. Veeranarayana Pandurangi, President of Bharatiya Vidwat Parishad, will extend the official welcome.
More than 2,000 distinguished scholars, including professors, lecturers, senior researchers, and students, will attend this landmark event, which marks the 51st session of the All India Oriental Conference, an institution that was first founded over a century ago by Bharat Ratna Panduranga Vamana Kane.
This gathering holds special significance, as it is being held in Udupi, Karnataka, the birthplace of Madhvacharya, and represents the first time in many years that the conference has been hosted in the South of India. Truly, it is a celebration of knowledge in every sense.
