All Maharashtra returnees must undergo 14-day home quarantine and their residence will be sealed: Sriramulu

All those who return from Maharashtra must quarantined for 14 days at their homes and the entire place will be sealed, said, B Sriramulu, State health minister

Addressing the media on Tuesday, June 9, Sriramulu said, “ Police officials and home guards will be appointed and Asha workers will also conduct regular visits to their houses. Government has decided to sue those who violate the rules.”

“In case of apartment complexes, the entire building will not be sealed, the flat concerned only would be sealed down” he added

Sriramulu further said, “ Throat swabs of people coming from other states and countries who do not display any symptoms of disease, will not be sent for testing.”

Speaking about the Covid-19 cases in the district, Sriramulu said, “Around 28 cases are expected today. 330 persons have been discharged from the district and 611 continue to be treated”
