All shops in Dakshina Kannada to remain open till 5pm from July 2

Mangaluru: With the COVID-19 positivity rate falling to less than 5%, all shops in Dakshina Kannada district will be allowed to open between 6 am and 5 pm from Friday, July 2.
Karnataka principal secretary to revenue N Manjunatha Prasad stated in an order that all shops, except those with air-conditioning, will be allowed to function in Dakshina Kannada district between 6 am and 5 pm until July 5 morning 5 am.
However, there are no changes in the weekend curfew guldelines.
People in Dakshina Kannada have been facing a lot of inconvenience due to the lockdown.
Textile shops, xerox shops, and owners of various categories of businesses had expressed their grievances that they have been facing difficulties as their shops are closed.
All MLAs and MP of Dakshina Kannada had also requested that the lockdown should be relaxed.
The unlock relaxation has been allowed only to help people who are in distress
