All temples festivals and events now permitted in Karnataka

Bengaluru: In an order, the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments or Muzrai Department has permitted all temples in the State to conduct its annual religious fairs, chariot festivals and other special pooja services.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic a year ago all mass gathering events of temples were prohibited.
The order also stated that the temple festivals will have to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines as set by the respective district administration.
Additionally, the order asks temples’ administrations to hold ‘repentance ritual’ for not conducting the annual festivals the temples last year.
