Alleged police brutality on garland case accused; Three officers booked

Puttur: A case has been filed against three police officers for assaulting the suspects in the footwear garland case during the interrogation.

The case was filed by Venunatha one of the accused Avinash’s father, against DSP Puttur, Harshith PC, and PSI of Puttur Rural station.

After a thorough inquiry report conducted by the Additional Superintendent of Police, it has been revealed that PSI Puttur Rural Station and PC Harshit were involved in the assault.

As a result, both officers have been suspended from their duties, and a report will be submitted to their superiors for appropriate disciplinary action against DSP Puttur.

The investigation of the case has been entrusted to DSP Bantwala.

This incident has raised concerns about police brutality.
