Alliance Air inaugurates flights from Belagavi

Belagavi: The Belagavi airport, after a short break in its flight operation, turned functional, on July 11 with the dispatch of Alliance Air’s Belagavi to Bengaluru flight services. 

As of late, Spicejet had halted its flight services from the Belagavi airport, while moving it to Hubballi, which goes under the UDAN scheme. In any case, efforts put in by MPs Suresh Angadi, Prabhakar Kore, local MLA Abhay Patil assured that the airport gets functional. 

The maiden trip of Alliance Air, which is an auxiliary of Air India was inaugurated by MP Suresh Angadi on Wednesday evening at a function held here. MP Suresh Angadi, DC S Ziaullah, ZP CEO Ramachandran, Cantonment Board CEO Divya Shivraman, Police Commissioner D C Rajappa, Airport Director Rajeshkumar Morya were also present. 

The flight will operate on thrice a week i.e., Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. On Tuesday, the flight will reach at Belagavi Airport from Bengaluru at 5.05 PM and takeoff is planned at 5.35 PM. On Wednesday and Saturday, the flight will reach at 3.35 PM and leave at 4.00 PM.
