Shivamogga: Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yediyurappa, affirmed that the ongoing criminal cases involving Prajwal Revanna, the member of Parliament and NDA’s candidate from Hassan, will not lead to any rift in the alliance between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) [JDS].
Yediyurappa emphasized that there are no plans to alter the alliance arrangement between the two parties. Regarding the legal proceedings concerning Prajwal Revanna, Yeddyurappa stated that the law will take its own course to address the matter.
During a press briefing on Sunday, Yediyurappa also remarked on the upcoming elections, highlighting the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration over the past decade.
He criticized the Indian National Congress for allegedly relying on falsehoods in their election campaigns, particularly targeting former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Siddaramaiahhas still not come out of the Assembly election mode, seemingly forgetting the ongoing Lok Sabha polls. Congress is lacking credible leadership, Yediyurappa said and alleged that Congress’ strategy aims to mislead and stir controversy.
Yeddyurappa asserted that the Congress lacks credible leadership and accused the party of spreading misinformation to mislead the public and incite controversy.
Yeddyurappa further criticized the Congress party’s manifesto, alleging that it was full of “biases and anti-constitutional inclinations”. He accused the Congress of favoring Muslims over other communities and warned that their policies could negatively impact the rights of backward classes and Dalits.
Yeddyurappa also raised concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation under the Congress rule, alleging links between the party and the Popular Front of India [PFI].
Yediyurappa claimed that Karnataka Congress is split into 3 factions each led by Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar, and Mallikarjun Kharge.
