Ambarish memorial to come up at Kanteerava Studios’ premises

Bengaluru: A 1.34-acre plot of land at Kanteerava Studios had been identified for a memorial of the noted actor Ambarish.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa presided over a meeting of the high-level committee constituted for the memorial. In the meeting, he announced that the State government has decided to allocate Rs 5 crore for the construction of the memorial.

He also suggested at the meeting that a sub-committee be formed under departmental secretaries to facilitate the construction of the memorial.

MP and Ambarish’s widow Sumalatha Ambarish their son Abhishek Gowda, producer Rockline Venkatesh, senior actor Doddanna, public relations department secretary M Maheshwara Rao, Commissioner Dr P S Harsha and others were present at the meeting.
