Ambati Rayudu announces retirement from IPL after ongoing season; Deletes tweet later

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings batter Ambati Rayudu on Saturday took to Twitter to announce his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) following the conclusion of the ongoing season. However, the player deleted his tweet minutes after posting it.

“I am happy to announce that this will be my last ipl. I have had a wonderful time playing it and being a part of 2 great teams for 13 years. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Csk for the wonderful journey,” he tweeted.

Netizens were quick to react and also posted several comments. However, after a few minutes, the 36-year-old deleted the tweet and left netizens perplexed.
