Amid grief, couple tie knot in Kodagu

Madikeri: Amid the grief of losing her house to a landslide, a Madikeri woman, on Sunday entered into a nuptial knot with a Kerala man.

The bride, Manjula R. from Mankandoor got married to  Rajish of Kannur in a simple ceremony held at Omkareshwara temple in Madikeri today afternoon. 

Having lost her louse in a landslide, a grief-stricken Manjula had decided to call off her wedding. However, Seva Bharati and Lions Club Madikeri members stepped in to organise their marriage and extended all the support needed to solemnise the wedding. 

Manjula’s relatives, Rajish’s relatives, members of the Lions Club Madikeri and Seva Bharati members and media representatives attended the wedding function and blessed the couple a bright future.
