Mumbai: As the nepotism debate in Bollywood is continuing day by day following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, many Bollywood actors and filmmakers have received the heat over the internet.
The Internet has been demanding justice for the deaths of Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian. Netizens have been discussing nepotism in Bollywood over the years where new talents with no backgrounds or godfathers are sidelined over star kids and big stars of Bollywood.
Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 movie which is scheduled for a digital release later this month received a lot of backlash on the internet.
The trailer of Alia Bhatt starrer Sadak 2 released on Wednesday, August 12, and quickly became the most-disliked trailer on YouTube within 24 hours of release.
The 3-minute-video has been viewed over 17 million times received 5.4 million dislikes and 300k likes so far, with a huge difference in the ‘like-dislike’ ratio.
As of now, this video is the world’s 7th most disliked video and the most disliked trailer ever.
A few days back, Mahesh Bhatt shared a message for fans via his elder daughter Pooja Bhatt, who also stars in the film.
“Today as we begin the last leg of our journey. I feel unshackled! I carry no burden, no weight. No reputation to hold on to. No mission to accomplish. Nothing to prove to anyone. If the film works it belongs to all of you. If it does not, it’s mine,” he said.
Sadak 2 is the sequel of the 1991 film Sadak starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. This will also be his first collaboration with younger daughter Alia Bhatt.
The movie will be digitally released on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28.
