New Delhi: On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made an appeal to unify India with the country’s most widely-spoken language – Hindi. In his tweet he mentioned, “India is a country of many languages, and each language has its own significance, but it is necessary to have a common language that becomes the mark of India’s identity globally, ” hinting at having Hindi as a national language.
Amit Shah tweeted on Hindi Diwas, which is celebrated every year on September 14, marking the significance of the day when India’s Constituent Assembly adopted Hindi as the official language of India.
“Today, if there is one language that has the ability to string the nation together in unity, it is the Hindi language which is the most widely-spoken and understood language in India,” Shah added.
pic.twitter.com/hrk1ktpDCn
