Amit Shah visits Siddaroodha mutt in Hubballi

Hubballi: Naming Hubballi Airport after Sri Siddharooda Swamiji and offering a ticket to Sri Paramarooda Swamiji to challenge from Bilagi (Bagalkot region) were the requests put before BJP National President Amit Shah, on his visit to Siddharoodamutt here on Thursday. 

Before beginning the second phase of his campaign in the Mumbai-Karnataka area, Amit Shah went by Siddharodamutt.

Accompanied by State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa and other BJP leaders, Mr Shah was greeted by women with Poornakumbha. 

Shah performed Pooja at the Gadduge of Sri Siddharooda Swamiji and Sri Gurunatharooda Swamiji. He was later felicitated by Sri Siddharoodaswamy Mutt Trust Committee office-bearers, at Kailas Mantap. 

Due to the visit of the VVIP, fans’ entrance to Sri Siddharoodaswamy Samadhi Mandir was shut down for 60 minutes. Shah’s visit was planned at 9:40 am, and he came late at 10:45 am. He was at Siddharoodamutt premises for 15 minutes. Notwithstanding neighbourhood police, Rapid Action Force (RAF) faculty were additionally conveyed for security. 

It might be reviewed here that AICC chief Rahul Gandhi was additionally expected to visit Siddharoodamutt amid his current visit to Hubballi, and the visit was crossed out ultimately after he went to a church and a dargah. 

Sri Siddharoodaswamy Mutt Trust Committee presented an update to Mr Shah, to find a way to name Hubballi Airport after Sri Siddharooda Swamiji. Shah was additionally asked to arrange Rs 30 lakh fund for the development of Prasada Nilaya and Rs 20 lakh for the development of toilets and restrooms at the Mutt’s premises. 

Sri Paramarooda Swamiji of Seemikeri in Bagalkot area presented a notice to Shah, looking for BJP ticket to challenge from Bilagi constituency. “I have just campaigned in 130 towns, and have sent an application for BJP ticket, to the party’s state and national leaders. Prior, I have worked for the triumph of the BJP applicant in the constituency,” he said.
