Mangaluru: The most awaited tulu movie “Ammer Police” was supposed to be released in June as per expectation, but due to a theatrical problem, the release date of the movie has not yet been finalized. There were three dates available for the movie’s release in June. In another two days, the date for movie release will be fixed.
On June 15th, Salman Khan Starrer “Race-3” movie will be relased and since it will be released in Mangaluru theaters too, there is a possibility that the release date of “Ammer Police” tulu movie could be postponed. Also Rajanikanth Starrer “Kaala” Tamil movie, though banned from release in Karnataka, if permitted will cause problem to “Ammer Police” Tulu movie.
“Ammer police” Tulu movie has been directed by Yekkasaka and Pilibailu Yamunakka successful Tulu film director Sooraj Shetty and this movie is eagerly awaited by Tulu movie fans. Hence all these eagerly fans awaiting for the movie’s release on tiptoes have been disheartened by the not yet decided release date of the movie.
Since many years, Tulu movies are facing this issue and no permanent solution has been found for this. The movie team which does all the preparation for the release of their movie are forced to step back when movies of other language approach for release. Since Tulu cinema has a limited market, it is compelled to release its movies at prominent theaters in Mangaluru, Udupi and other prominent places, subject to their availability.
Presently, this is the very same problem haunting “Ammer Police” Tulu movie. The movie team has to opt for any one of the three dates available for release in June being 15th,22nd or 28th. But, the date has not so far been finalized. In another two days we will finalize the date for release, informed the movie’s director Sooraj Shetty.
