Almost everyone can be entertained by a picture-perfect sunset. Everyone has tried their hand at photographing sunsets around the world, from amateur cellphone photographers to professionals. Sunset photographs from Mumbai have been all over social media recently. Reason? The recent showers in Mumbai cleared the skies and provided some breathtaking views. Anand Mahindra, an industrialist, has also generated a craze among social media users with his tweets of sunsets in and around Mumbai. On his tweet thread, he now has a collection of stunning sunset photos.

Mr Mahindra tweeted, “A few days ago, social media was inundated with pics of Mumbai’s clear post-shower sky and spectacular sunset. Never too late to join that bandwagon! Pic on the left was apparently somewhere in Alibaug. A Rothko painting (on the right) come to life – or is it the other way around?”

More photographs of Mumbai’s bright skies were shared by users on the Twitter platform.

Mr Mahindra’s tweet was inundated with responses depicting various sunset vistas from across the country. When the chairman of the Mahindra Group saw the massive response to his tweet, he wrote, “Whoa! This is turning into a ‘World Cup’ of sunsets. All teams/entries welcome, in that case!” Along with this, he retweeted a sunset postcard from Hubballi, Karnataka.
