Bengaluru: Facing flak from Congress for using a derogatory tone to address CM Siddaramaiah, BJP MP Ananth Kumar Hegde has hit back by posting an old video clip of Siddaramaiah on the social networking site Facebook.
”What is right, what is wrong…it is left to an enlightened society [to decide]! (I am sharing with you the footage that came to me)” he captioned an old video of CM Siddaramaiah criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In the video, Siddaramaiah refers to PM Modi as a “fool” and questions his involvement in the surgical strike, stating, “Did he take a gun? It is a big mistake to use it for politics.”
Uttara Kannada MP Ananth Kumar Hegde, during his address to BJP members in Kumta on Saturday, criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and accused him of being ready to appease the minority at any cost and mocked his indecision regarding the Ayodhya event.
Hegde had asserted that the temple ceremony would proceed regardless of Siddaramaiah’s attendance. Furthermore, Hegde predicted a similar fate for the Chinnadapalli mosque in Bhatkal as that of the Babri mosque.
The state government strongly condemned Hegde’s remarks, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stating that it reflects Hegde’s culture.
