Anekal: Man kills wife doubting her fidelity; dies by suicide

Anekal: A woman was killed on Monday by her alcoholic husband who suspected her character in Attibele, Bengaluru.

The accused identified as  Sampath (36) died by suicide minutes after he murdered his wife Lavanya (30).

It is said that Sampath  had a heated argument with his wife Lavanya on Monday and also questioned her fidelity.

Later, in a fit of rage, he slashed her neck with a kitchen knife while she was sleeping and also stabbed his minor son who came to his mother’s rescue.

The neighbors who reached the spot found Lavanya lying dead in a pool of blood. Sampath then slit his throat using the knife and fell into a drain.

A case has been registered.
