As many as 37 people who were detained by Anekal police for attending a rave party organised at a private resort here have been released on bail.

Acting on credible information, police on Saturday night raided the resort and detained 37 people, including the party organisers for violating the prevailing pandemic restrictions.

They also confiscated nine cars, 14 two-wheelers, a DJ set, lights and liquor bottles.

The police have collected blood and urine samples of all persons detained during the raid to determine if they consumed drugs at the party. Results of the tests are awaited and suitable action will be initiated after the medical report is received, police said.

It is said that the party-goers came to know of the event on social media and arrived in groups.
