Anekal: Seven people severely injured in cylinder blast

Anekal: Seven people sustained severe burns when an LPG gas cylinder exploded in Jigani, Anekal Taluk of Bengaluru.

While two of the seven individuals suffered minor injuries, others (3 males and 2 females) suffered severe burns. All are being treated at Ace Suhas Multispecialty Hospital in Jigani.

Dr, Jagadish Hiremath, Medical Director at Ace Suhas Multispecialty Hospital and Chairman at Aasra, said that the victims may have to undergo multiple surgeries to rectify the defects caused by burns. However, 3 patients are out of danger with manageable burns, 2 have airway burns and doctors would need 48 hours to declare them safe.
