Madikeri: Anti Naxal Force (ANF) has begun combing operations with increased intensity along the Tadiyanmol mountain range and the Kerala-Kodagu border.

The search intensified after three naxals demanded items of daily use from the house of Ballachanda estate writer Raghu Pemmayya.

Vikram Gowda, a wanted naxal who opposes the steps taken to bring naxals into mainstream was part of the three naxals, informed the police. It is presumed the naxals have ventured towards Kerala forest which is at a distance of seven kilometers from the incident location.
